Health Litigation Associate (4-5 years)

Position Description:
Our client is seeking a Health Litigation Associate with 4–5 years of experience to join its Health & Senior Care practice. This hybrid role is based out of the Sacramento office. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills and a demonstrated interest in health care law. This is an excellent opportunity to join a sophisticated and expanding health care team handling complex matters for a wide range of providers.
In addition to litigation responsibilities, this role supports a practice that advises and represents a variety of healthcare clients in matters involving litigation, the False Claims Act, fraud and abuse, compliance, risk management, government investigations, licensure, and medical staff issues. Clients include Federally Qualified Health Centers, hospitals, medical staffs, nursing homes, and other provider-side entities and individuals.
Responsibilities
- Handle litigation matters including law and motion practice, written discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation
- Collaborate with attorneys on complex health care regulatory and operational issues
- Advise health care providers on compliance with federal and state laws
- Support clients in matters involving licensing, certification, and reimbursement
- Participate in strategic planning and case development for health care litigation
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment with opportunities for growth and mentorship
Required Qualifications
- Previous law firm experience required; Am Law 200, leading regional, or major boutique firm experience preferred
- 3–5 years of litigation experience
- Experience with law and motion, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
