Position Description:
Our client is seeking a Tax Associate to join its growing practice. This position may be based in Nashville, Washington, D.C., Houston, or Dallas. The role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated tax matters as part of a collaborative, high-performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on a variety of tax matters, including complex corporate transactions
  • Support renewable energy projects with a focus on tax credit structures and related compliance
  • Assist with tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, particularly those involving private equity
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, transaction documents, and client communications
  • Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas on transactional and advisory matters

Experience & Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of relevant tax law experience
  • Experience in renewable energy tax credits and/or corporate transactions and mergers and acquisitions, including private equity matters is strongly preferred
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, and drafting skills
  • Demonstrated academic achievement and transferable legal skills

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Candidates must reside in or relocate to one of the listed markets by the time of hire
  • Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction, or willingness to obtain licensure
