Position Description:
Our client is seeking a mid-level Real Estate Associate (3–5 years of experience) to join its Nashville office. This position offers the opportunity to work on a sophisticated range of commercial real estate transactions, with a primary focus on acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing matters. The associate will represent a diverse client base, including real estate developers, institutional investors, REITs, and property owners, across multiple asset classes.
Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements in connection with commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions

Conduct and oversee due diligence, including title and survey review, and coordinate all aspects of transaction closings

Prepare, review, and negotiate commercial leases on behalf of landlords and tenants

Structure and manage transactional documentation through all phases, from initial contract to closing

Advise clients on transactional strategy and risk allocation in complex real estate matters

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support development projects and ongoing portfolio management

Assist in the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of a variety of asset types, including office, multifamily, retail, and specialized-use properties
Qualifications

3–5 years of substantive experience in commercial real estate transactions at a law firm

Demonstrated experience with acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing; real estate finance experience is not required for this role

Strong drafting and negotiation skills, including experience with purchase and sale agreements and lease agreements

Experience conducting and managing due diligence (including title and survey review)

Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Excellent academic credentials and professional references

Admission to the Tennessee Bar or eligibility for admission
Preferred Experience

Experience representing developers, institutional investors, and real estate owners

Exposure to multi-asset class portfolios and complex commercial transactions
