Capital Markets Paralegal (Entry-Level, One-Year Assignment – Houston)
Our client, a leading global law firm, is seeking an entry-level Capital Markets Paralegal for a one-year, full-time assignment based in Houston, Texas. The selected candidate will be seconded on a full-time basis to a prominent global financial institution, where they will support the administration of the institution’s Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) portfolio.
This is a unique opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in the banking and finance sector, particularly in the area of CLO administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide paralegal support to the financial institution’s CLO portfolio team.
- Assist with document management, data entry, and transaction tracking.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate processing of CLO-related matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure.
- Professional demeanor with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PDF tools, document management systems, and timekeeping software (e.g., Intapp).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and transport files and supplies as needed.
- Willingness to work overtime and travel if required.
