Position Description:
Permanent Placements is seeking a Real Estate Finance Associate to join a nationally recognized Am Law 200 firm in its Chicago office. This role sits within a Chambers-ranked real estate group and offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial real estate and lending transactions as part of a highly collaborative national platform.

The team supports a broad range of clients, including institutional investors, lenders, and developers, and is known for its integrated approach across offices. Key Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate loan documents for commercial real estate finance transactions

• Manage due diligence, including title, survey, and related real estate materials

• Support lender-side and borrower-side transactions

• Handle closings for real estate finance matters

• Assist with acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development transactions as needed

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in commercial real estate or real estate finance

• Experience with both lender-side and borrower-side transactions preferred

• Strong drafting and transactional skills

• Ability to manage multiple deals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent academic credentials

• Prior law firm experience required

Work Model

• Hybrid

• No strict firmwide hybrid mandate

• Preferred in-office days are Tuesday and Thursday

• Initial onboarding period expected onsite before transitioning into a more flexible schedule

Compensation

• $175,000 to $280,000 annually
