Position Description:
Real Estate Finance Paralegal
Our client, a highly regarded law firm focused on sophisticated real estate and finance transactions, is seeking an experienced Paralegal to support its real estate practice. This role will work closely with attorneys on complex, time-sensitive financings involving government-backed multifamily and healthcare transactions.About the Opportunity
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced transactional environment. The paralegal will play a key role in supporting attorneys throughout all stages of real estate financings, including due diligence, document preparation, and closing coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Review entity formation documents
- Analyze title commitments and surveys; identify issues and prepare summaries for attorney review
- Coordinate with title companies, including review of title policy pro formas
- Manage title and survey requirements across multiple stakeholders
- Draft and review loan and real estate documents
- Conduct and review UCC, judgment, and bankruptcy searches
- Coordinate transaction closings, including preparation of signature packages and document delivery
- Draft escrow and recording instructions
- Assist with due diligence collection and tracking
- Participate in transaction calls and provide status updates
Qualifications
- Experience with complex real estate transactions; experience with multifamily or healthcare financings preferred
- Strong proficiency in title and survey review
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Familiarity with document management systems (NetDocuments or similar platforms preferred)
