Position Description:
We are working with our client, a leading global law firm, to identify a mid-level Technology Transactions Associate (3–6 years of experience) to join its team. This role is open in Chicago, Los Angeles, or San Francisco, with a preference for Chicago.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intellectual property and artificial intelligence, with experience advising on technology-related matters in the context of private equity and M&A transactions. This includes conducting IP and technology due diligence and negotiating transaction-related agreements.

Candidates should also bring solid experience in commercial contracting and software licensing, along with the ability to manage complex, technology-driven transactions. Exposure to data privacy and cybersecurity matters is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in technology transactions, IP, and/or related areas
  • Experience supporting M&A and private equity transactions, including due diligence and document negotiation
  • Strong background in commercial agreements and software licensing
  • Familiarity with AI-related legal issues is highly desirable
  • Admission to the bar in the state corresponding to the preferred office location required
