While U.K.-based companies continue to retain the majority of the spots in the top 30, U.S.-led companies are strengthening their position through consistent year-over-year growth, according to a ranking of the biggest companies in the industry, regardless of where they are based.

Linklaters, A&O Shearman, reporting figures as legacy Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance, Freshfields and Slaughter, and May are all among the top 10 firms. These London-based firms, formerly known as the Magic Circle, have historically held a monopoly on the U.K. legal market.
