With Office Attendance Still Down, Law Firms Are Increasing Hoteling and Collaborative Space
According to Maptician’s 2025 Law Firm Workplace Trends Report, as remote and hybrid work patterns persist, flexible seating is generally becoming more common in law firms. According to the poll, fixed seating models are no longer desirable or feasible in settings where attendance varies. However, some businesses are actually growing their collaborative workspaces for face-to-face group work and meetings.
In response, legal firms are extending the amount of space dedicated to collaborative work while simultaneously lowering idle office space to save on overhead, as employees continue to spend far less time at the office than they did prior to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
