Kirkland Led Group of Firms to Coordinate Striking White House Deal

Kirkland oversaw a coalition of sizable legal firms that negotiated an agreement to end the EEOC investigation. In the end, the EEOC letter probe was settled by at least six of the 20 firms. Additionally, it appears that a number of the firms on the EEOC list have transferred their representation in the EEOC investigation to one Am Law 100 firm.

According to several sources, senior Kirkland & Ellis staff, including chair Jon Ballis, were instrumental in enlisting as many firms from the EEOC letter probe as possible in order to reach a “critical mass” of firms that could appease the White House with a deal.
