Position Description:
Our client is seeking a mid-level associate with 3–5 years of trust and estate planning experience to join its Family Wealth Planning Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have experience with sophisticated estate planning and trust administration, including drafting comprehensive estate plans such as wills, revocable living trusts, and irrevocable trust instruments. Estate and gift tax knowledge is highly desired. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with senior estate planning partners in a collegial environment.

 
Responsibilities

• Draft comprehensive estate plans, including wills, revocable living trusts, and irrevocable trust instruments
• Advise on trust administration and related matters
• Collaborate with senior partners on complex estate planning strategies
• Provide guidance on estate and gift tax issues

 
Required Qualifications

• Previous law firm experience required; Am Law 200, leading regional, or major boutique firm experience preferred
• 3–5 years of experience in trust and estate planning
• Strong drafting skills for estate planning documents
• Knowledge of estate and gift tax laws

 
Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with complex assets such as pre-IPO stock, equity compensation, carried interest, or family businesses
• Familiarity with succession planning and charitable giving strategies
• Ability to navigate unique family dynamics and blended family situations
