Mayer Brown was a co-lead investor in Kapital’s $100 million Series C fundraising on behalf of Pelion Ventures VIII, L.P. (Pelion Ventures). Kapital is a global bank that prioritizes technology and caters to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMBs). The transaction raises Kapital’s valuation to $1.3 billion, establishing Mexico as the region’s innovation hub and making it the first fintech unicorn in Latin America.
