Our client is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Labor, Employment, and Workplace Safety practice in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of litigation experience handling a wide range of employment matters, including wage and hour class actions, PAGA representative actions, and single-plaintiff discrimination and harassment cases. The role also involves drafting and reviewing employment policies and documents such as offer letters, employment agreements, and separation agreements, as well as advising on labor and employment aspects of business transactions. Experience with traditional labor relations is a plus but not required. Candidates admitted to the California Bar will be considered, regardless of current location.
Responsibilities
- Handle litigation matters involving wage and hour class actions, PAGA actions, and discrimination/harassment claims
- Draft and review employment-related documents, including policies, offer letters, and agreements
- Advise on labor and employment issues in business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact
Required Qualifications
- Previous law firm experience required; Am Law 200, leading regional, or major boutique firm experience preferred
- 3–5 years of employment litigation experience
- Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Admission to the California Bar
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with traditional labor relations
- Familiarity with wage and hour class actions and PAGA representative actions
- Experience advising on employment aspects of business transactions
