Position Description:
Permanent Placements is currently looking for experienced Attorneys to join our client's Civil Litigation Defense Team in their St. Louis, Missouri Office. Admission to the State Bar Association required, Admission to Illinois or Kansas states a welcomed bonus.

We are looking for an individual with the technical aptitude to quickly learn, and master, our system. As a paperless office, we require a strong foundation of basic computer skills. Knowledge of MS suite, Adobe, and experience with document management systems are going to give you an advantage to navigating our technology.

- Doctorate (Required)
Experience:
- Attorney: 3-5 year (Required)
Legal Research and Writing: Proficient use of legal research tools to draft persuasive motions and briefs.
Analytical and Critical Thinking: The ability to analyze complex issues, identify relevant facts, and apply appropriate laws.
Negotiation and Mediation: Strong skills to settle disputes favorably outside of court.
Knowledge of Procedural Rules: Expertise in state and federal civil procedure, rules of evidence, and specific judge preferences.
Strategic Planning: Thinking ahead to anticipate counterarguments and developing long-term defense strategies.
Active Listening: Critically listening to witnesses and opposing counsel to identify weaknesses
Client Counseling: Understanding client goals, building trust, and communicating risks.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous review of evidence and case files to avoid errors.
Confidence and Adaptability: Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt strategies based on new information.
Ethical Conduct: Maintaining high professional standards.
Time Management: Ability to juggle multiple cases and adhere to court schedules.
Cross-Examination: Skilled at questioning opposing witnesses.
Courtroom Advocacy: Persuasively presenting the defense case during hearings and trials.
