Position Description:
Our client, a global, full-service Am Law 50 law firm, is seeking a first- or second-year transactional associate (Class of 2024 or 2025) to support its Energy and Infrastructure team in Houston.

Our client has a strong international platform, with attorneys advising on complex transactions, high-stakes matters, and cutting-edge regulatory issues across a wide range of industries, including energy, real estate, financial services, healthcare, and technology. The firm is known for delivering practical, business-oriented counsel and for its collaborative, cross-office approach to client service.

The team is seeking candidates with experience or a demonstrated interest in supporting a variety of energy and infrastructure matters, including:

  • Structured energy transactions and related diligence and execution
  • Energy finance and commodities trading matters
  • Power purchase agreements and other commercial arrangements
  • Transactions across the power, renewables and alternative energy, natural gas, and upstream oil and gas sectors
  • Preparing and managing ancillary closing deliverables and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders

This role offers meaningful responsibility, direct partner interaction, and the opportunity to develop sophisticated transactional skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Class of 2024 or 2025 (1st–2nd year) with relevant transactional experience and/or strong interest in energy and infrastructure
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills with close attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Team-oriented mindset and a strong desire to learn

Candidates must be admitted to and in good standing with the Texas bar.
