Position Description:
A leading law firm with a nationally recognized renewable energy finance practice is seeking junior associates (2-3 yrs) to join its market-leading team (14 people in the group) in either Los Angeles or New York due to a growing demand/influx of new business.

This role will focus primarily on project document diligence in connection with renewable energy transactions, including wind, solar, and battery storage projects. Associates will have the opportunity to work on sophisticated financings, including construction financings, term loan financings, and back-leverage structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support diligence efforts related to project development and financing
• Review and analyze construction contracts, equipment supply agreements, and offtake agreements
• Assist with diligence related to the construction and operation of renewable energy projects

Qualifications:

• Prior experience with project finance, debt finance, chapter 11, project development, or transactional diligence preferred
• Familiarity with construction or supply agreements is a plus
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail
• Admission to the bar in the candidate’s preferred office location (California or New York)
