Position Description:
Our client, a leading national law firm, is seeking a mid‑level associate to join its Antitrust practice in Washington, DC. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated, high‑stakes matters across the full spectrum of antitrust law within a collaborative and high‑performing team.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of substantive antitrust experience, including a combination of litigation, government investigations, and strategic counseling. This role offers exposure to complex, high‑profile matters, including multi‑district litigation and parallel regulatory investigations, as well as the opportunity to advise clients on proactive risk management and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in complex antitrust litigation, including multi‑district proceedings
- Handle government investigations involving federal and state enforcement agencies
- Advocate on behalf of clients before key regulatory bodies, including federal and state competition authorities
- Advise clients on a broad range of antitrust issues, including:
- Pricing practices and competition concerns
- Distribution arrangements and competitive collaborations
- Non‑compete and restrictive practices
- Support merger review matters involving transactions that raise competitive concerns
- Develop and deliver antitrust compliance programs and training, including presentations to senior executives and boards
- Provide strategic, business‑oriented counseling on antitrust risk and enforcement trends
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of antitrust experience from a leading law firm or comparable environment
- Strong background across litigation, investigations, and antitrust counseling
- Experience engaging with federal enforcement agencies (e.g., competition regulators) is strongly preferred
- Excellent writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage matters independently and exercise sound business judgment
- Strong communication skills and a client‑focused mindset
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment
Compensation
- Expected base salary range: $215,000 – $355,000
- Final compensation will be determined based on experience, credentials, and other relevant factors
