Position Description:
Litigation Associate (2+ Years)
Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate with at least 2 years of experience to join its Los Angeles office.About the Opportunity
This role is ideal for a proactive and organized attorney who is eager to take ownership of a meaningful caseload and develop strong litigation skills. The position offers hands-on experience across all stages of litigation, as well as regular client interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an active caseload of approximately 10–20 matters
- Investigate claims and develop case strategies
- Draft and respond to discovery requests
- Review and analyze documents for production
- Conduct legal research using tools such as Westlaw
- Take and defend depositions
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other court filings
- Attend hearings and argue motions
- Prepare pre-trial and trial materials
- Assist with and participate in mediations and trials
- Provide regular reporting and updates to clients
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- Admission to the California Bar required
- Experience handling litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Excellent legal writing, research, and communication skills
- Strong oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: approximately $155,000 – $175,000, depending on experience
