Position Description:

Remote CA Trial Attorney – Warranty Litigation – (5+ yrs) 

Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking a mid- to senior-level Trial Attorney with 5+ years of litigation experience to join its Southern California litigation team. This attorney will focus on defending automobile manufacturers, distributors, and dealers in warranty-related litigation matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator seeking substantial trial responsibility within a collaborative and sophisticated practice. Prior warranty litigation experience is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Defend automobile manufacturers, distributors, and dealerships in warranty and related consumer litigation matters
  • Manage matters through all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal as necessary
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Draft, argue, and respond to substantive motions
  • Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings
  • Prepare and examine witnesses at trial and arbitration
  • Deliver opening statements and closing arguments
  • Develop and execute litigation strategy in collaboration with clients and legal teams
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular case updates

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the California Bar
  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience
  • Significant trial and/or arbitration experience, including:
    • Opening statements
    • Closing arguments
    • Witness examinations
    • Motion practice
    • Depositions
    • Mediation
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, advocacy, and negotiation skills
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and case management abilities
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage a busy caseload

Preferred Experience

  • Experience handling complex commercial, consumer, product liability, or automotive litigation
  • Warranty litigation experience is a plus but not required
