Position Description:

Property Coverage Litigation Associate (2-5 Years)

Our client, a growing international law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate with 2-5 years of insurance defense litigation experience to join its Irvine office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney looking to build a sophisticated civil litigation practice while handling a diverse range of matters, including personal injury, construction, business, professional liability, transportation, products liability, and real estate-related disputes. The successful candidate will have meaningful responsibility, direct client exposure, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced litigators in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support a variety of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Handle insurance defense matters involving:
  • Personal injury litigation
  • Construction litigation
  • Business and commercial disputes
  • Professional negligence claims
  • Transportation litigation
  • Products liability matters
  • Real estate-related litigation
• Conduct written discovery and manage document production
• Take and defend depositions
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents
• Participate in case strategy development and client communications
• Work collaboratively with partners and senior attorneys to advance litigation objectives
• Manage deadlines and case responsibilities in a fast-paced practice

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with the California Bar
• 2-5 years of insurance defense litigation experience
• Experience handling discovery and depositions
• Exposure to one or more of the following areas preferred:
  • Professional negligence
  • Transportation litigation
  • Products liability
  • Real estate-related litigation
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent organizational and case management abilities
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
