Position Description:
Our client, a premier global law firm, is seeking a Real Estate Investments & Transactions Associate to join its sophisticated real estate practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 3-5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience who is interested in working on high-profile real estate investments, joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions.

The successful candidate will work closely with partners and senior attorneys representing private equity funds, asset managers, real estate funds, institutional investors, public and private REITs, and investment banks across a broad range of complex real estate matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, co-investments, and financing transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate:
    • Joint venture agreements
    • Purchase and sale agreements
    • Loan agreements and financing documentation
    • Property management agreements
    • Development management agreements
    • Related transaction documents
  • Coordinate and oversee real estate due diligence projects, including analysis of:
    • Title and survey matters
    • Zoning and land use issues
    • Leasing arrangements
    • Financing-related diligence
    • Other real estate-related matters
  • Work directly with clients and transaction stakeholders throughout all phases of transactions.
  • Monitor market developments and industry trends impacting real estate investments and transactions.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience at a large law firm.
  • Significant experience with:
    • Joint ventures and co-investments
    • Real estate acquisitions and dispositions
    • Debt and equity transactions
    • Real estate finance matters
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and time management skills.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice, or eligibility for admission, in the applicable jurisdiction.
  • Experience utilizing AI tools responsibly and ethically within a legal practice environment is a plus.
