Position Description:
Litigation Associate
Our client, a growing international law firm with a well-established litigation practice, is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3-5 years of insurance defense experience to join its team.This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking hands-on litigation experience across a broad range of matters, including personal injury, construction, business, professional liability, transportation, products liability, and real estate-related disputes. The role offers significant responsibility, client interaction, and opportunities for long-term growth within a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Handle a variety of insurance defense litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Manage cases involving:
- Personal injury litigation
- Construction litigation
- Business and commercial disputes
- Professional negligence claims
- Transportation litigation
- Products liability matters
- Real estate-related litigation
- Conduct and manage written discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
- Develop litigation strategy and assist with case evaluations
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case developments and recommendations
- Prepare matters for mediation, arbitration, trial, and settlement discussions
- Work closely with partners and litigation teams to achieve favorable outcomes
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in good standing
- 3-5 years of insurance defense litigation experience
- Experience handling discovery and depositions
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Professional negligence
- Transportation litigation
- Products liability
- Real estate-related litigation
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation Range: $140,000 – $170,000 annually, plus bonus opportunities
