Position Description:
Products Liability & Life Sciences Associate
Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking a junior Litigation Associate to join its Products Liability & Life Sciences Practice Group in Los Angeles.This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation associate with 2+ years of experience who is interested in developing a sophisticated products liability and life sciences practice. The successful candidate will work on complex litigation matters involving cutting-edge products, scientific issues, and highly regulated industries while collaborating with a nationally recognized team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the defense and management of complex product liability and life sciences litigation matters
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation-related documents
- Participate in discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery requests
- Support deposition preparation and other fact-development efforts
- Analyze complex legal and factual issues involving scientific, medical, and technical subject matter
- Assist with case strategy development and litigation management
- Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices on national litigation matters
- Participate in client communications and case reporting
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the California Bar
- 2+ years of litigation experience
- Strong interest in products liability and life sciences litigation
- Excellent academic credentials
- Superior legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to quickly understand and analyze complex subject matter
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $235,000 – $275,000 annually
- Eligibility for a discretionary performance bonus
