Position Description:

Litigation Associate – Technology & Complex Commercial Litigation

Our client, a premier international law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate (5-7 years) to join its Litigation & Regulatory Enforcement practice in Northern California. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on high-profile, cutting-edge disputes for some of the world's leading technology companies.

The successful candidate will be involved in sophisticated litigation matters spanning emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, social media, search, digital advertising, gaming, streaming services, and virtual communication platforms.

Responsibilities

• Represent leading technology companies in complex litigation and regulatory matters
• Handle all phases of litigation, including:
  • Case assessment and strategy
  • Discovery management
  • Motion practice
  • Depositions
  • Trial preparation
  • Settlement and mediation efforts
• Draft substantive motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation filings
• Conduct sophisticated legal research and analysis
• Collaborate closely with clients on litigation strategy and risk assessment
• Work directly with partners, experts, and client teams on high-stakes matters
• Manage multiple complex matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Develop strong client relationships through responsive and practical legal counsel

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Admission to the California Bar or eligibility for admission
• 5-7 years of litigation experience
• Experience handling complex commercial litigation matters
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Demonstrated commitment to client service
• Ability to manage significant responsibility and work effectively within collaborative teams

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas are particularly encouraged to apply:

• Consumer class action litigation
• Mass tort defense
• Privacy and data-related litigation
• Technology-focused disputes
• Regulatory investigations and enforcement matters

Additional consideration will be given to candidates with:

• Top law firm experience
• Federal or state judicial clerkship experience
