Position Description:
Our client has an immediate need for a Trusts & Estates Associate for its client's North Shore office. Candidates must have 3+ years of experience with estate and trust administration, as well as estate planning, probate proceedings, and trust and estate litigation matters. The practice is heavily focused on estate administration, making it an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to further develop and expand their expertise in this area. The firm is committed to providing training and mentorship in other aspects of the trusts and estates practice. Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, and closely held businesses on wealth transfer and succession planning matters is a preferred. Experience preparing gift tax returns and federal estate tax returns is a plus but not required.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent drafting, analytical, and client communication skills, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters effectively. Candidates should be interested in developing long-term client relationships and working closely with individuals, families, and business owners on sophisticated trust and estate matters. Candidates must be admitted to practice in Illinois.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $180,000 to $230,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
