Position Description:
Business Litigation Associate
Our client, a respected national law firm, is seeking a Business Litigation Associate with 4-8 years of experience to join its Los Angeles office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with experience in business litigation and/or financial services litigation who is looking to take on meaningful responsibility, work directly with clients, and contribute to sophisticated litigation matters. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team that offers strong mentorship, professional development, and a clear path for long-term advancement.
Responsibilities
- Handle all phases of complex business and financial services litigation matters
- Draft and argue substantive motions
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery materials
- Develop and implement litigation and case-management strategies
- Manage discovery and document review processes
- Participate in court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations
- Collaborate with clients and litigation teams to achieve favorable outcomes
- Manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Deliver high-quality legal work under demanding timelines
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the California Bar
- 4-8 years of business litigation and/or financial services litigation experience
- Strong experience with:
- Motion practice
- Depositions
- Discovery
- Case strategy development
- Court appearances

- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Outstanding oral advocacy and communication abilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to independently manage significant responsibilities while working collaboratively within a team
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $200,000 – $235,000 annually
- Compensation based on experience, qualifications, and overall skill set
