Position Description:
Real Estate Associate
Our client, a premier international law firm, is seeking a junior-level Real Estate Associate to join its nationally recognized Real Estate Practice in Seattle.This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney with 1+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience who is looking to work on sophisticated financing, acquisition, leasing, and joint venture matters. The successful candidate will gain significant client exposure and hands-on responsibility while working closely with experienced attorneys on complex transactions across a national platform.
Responsibilities
- Assist with a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including:
- Mortgage financings
- Mezzanine financings
- Real estate acquisitions and dispositions
- Commercial leasing transactions
- Joint venture transactions
- Represent lenders, borrowers, investors, developers, and other market participants
- Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents and ancillary agreements
- Conduct due diligence and support transaction structuring
- Manage transaction components from initial diligence through closing
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, lenders, investors, and internal deal teams
- Provide practical business-oriented advice to clients throughout transactions
- Work collaboratively with attorneys across multiple practice groups
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active Washington Bar admission, or eligibility to obtain admission promptly
- Minimum 1 year of commercial real estate transactional experience
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Real estate finance
- Acquisitions and dispositions
- Commercial leasing
- Joint ventures
- Strong analytical, drafting, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong business judgment and commercial awareness
- Experience working directly with clients
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Outstanding academic credentials

- Lender-side financing transactions
- Borrower-side financing transactions
- Commercial real estate development matters
- Institutional real estate transactions
- Complex real estate investment structures

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $225,000 – $260,000 annually
- Compensation based on experience and qualifications
