Healthcare Transactional & Regulatory Associate
Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking a Healthcare Transactional & Regulatory Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its Healthcare Practice Group in Los Angeles (preferred) or Seattle.This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney looking to build a sophisticated healthcare regulatory and transactional practice. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced healthcare attorneys on matters involving healthcare operations, compliance, reimbursement, regulatory counseling, and healthcare transactions for providers, health systems, and other healthcare industry participants.
Responsibilities
The associate will support a broad range of healthcare regulatory and transactional matters, including:
- Drafting and negotiating healthcare-related agreements and commercial contracts
- Advising healthcare providers and health systems on operational and regulatory issues
- Counseling clients regarding:
- Healthcare compliance
- Regulatory requirements
- Operational risk management
- Healthcare business arrangements
- Advising on Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement matters
- Analyzing healthcare regulatory issues, including:
- Fraud and abuse laws
- Regulatory compliance obligations
- Operational and governance considerations
- Supporting healthcare transactions and related due diligence efforts
- Collaborating on matters involving:
- Digital health
- Healthcare technology
- Compliance initiatives
- Regulatory strategy
- Working with attorneys across multiple practice areas on integrated healthcare matters
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- 3-5 years of healthcare regulatory and/or transactional experience
- Prior law firm experience preferred
- Strong drafting and contract negotiation skills
- Experience advising healthcare clients on operational and regulatory matters
- Familiarity with:
- Healthcare compliance
- Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement
- Fraud and abuse regulations
- Healthcare operational issues
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and client counseling skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
- Sound judgment and business-oriented problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
- Healthcare transactions
- Healthcare operations and compliance
- Digital health
- Healthcare reimbursement
- Regulatory investigations and compliance reviews
- Provider and health system representation

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $225,000 – $315,000 annually
- Compensation based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors
