Position Description:
Real Estate Associate
Our client, a premier Am Law 50 law firm, is seeking a mid-level Real Estate Associate with 3-4 years of transactional experience to join its nationally recognized Real Estate Practice in San Diego.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney interested in sophisticated real estate transactions and long-term partnership-track growth. The successful candidate will work alongside highly regarded real estate practitioners representing developers, investors, landlords, tenants, lenders, and institutional clients on complex real estate matters.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate:
- Purchase and sale agreements
- Commercial leases
- Easements
- Real estate-related transactional documents
- Conduct and manage title and survey due diligence reviews
- Analyze and resolve title, survey, and entitlement issues
- Coordinate and manage transaction closings
- Work directly with clients, title companies, lenders, and opposing counsel
- Assist with:
- Acquisitions and dispositions
- Commercial leasing transactions
- Portfolio transactions
- Real estate development matters
- Manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously
- Collaborate with partners and senior associates on sophisticated real estate projects
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the California Bar
- 3-4 years of commercial real estate transactional experience
- Experience drafting and negotiating real estate transaction documents
- Experience with:
- Acquisitions and dispositions
- Commercial leasing
- Title and survey review
- Transaction closings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a deadline-driven environment
- Team-oriented mindset with a desire to learn and grow within a collaborative practice

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $260,000 – $310,000 annually
- Compensation based on qualifications, experience, and overall fit
