Florida Talc Trial Begins Against Johnson & Johnson: ‘It Was Not Pure’

A trial has begun in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, involving Johnson & Johnson’s talcum powder and the family of Dr. Albert Casaretto, who died from mesothelioma in 2022 after using the products for over 50 years. Christopher Tisi represents the family, while Michael Brown claims one of the plaintiff’s talc bottles was tampered with. Expert witnesses William Longo and Jacqueline Moline are testifying, having previously influenced the overturning of mesothelioma verdicts in New Jersey. Jurors heard the opening statements on Wednesday.
