An Arizona court has awarded Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher nearly $12.4 million in attorney fees following their successful representation of a Florida-based real estate developer in a case that resulted in a $296 million verdict last October. The court dismissed the defense’s objections regarding the reasonableness of the fee, which were partly based on a contingency agreement stipulating a 15% fee of the verdict amount, potentially exceeding $44 million. This ruling underscores the court’s support for the firm’s fee structure in high-stakes litigation, affirming the value of their legal services in securing a significant financial outcome for their client.
