Gibson Dunn Secures Second Temporary Restraining Order Win for Edelman in Two Months, Obtaining Broad Relief to Halt Competitor’s Ongoing Client Poaching Scheme
On May 11, 2026, Gibson Dunn successfully represented our client Edelman Financial Engines in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware after a judge fully granted Edelman’s request for a temporary restraining order (TRO) against its rival, Prime Capital. This was Edelman’s second TRO victory in as many months. The directive puts an end to Prime Capital’s attempt to use Edelman’s planners as a weapon to collect private customer data and contact Edelman’s clients as soon as they resign.
