Position Description:
Our client, an international law firm, is seeking a senior associate to join its Financial Restructuring Practice Group in either Chicago or New York.

The ideal candidate will have at least six years of experience handling a broad range of restructuring matters, including out-of-court restructurings, workouts, and complex Chapter 11 reorganizations. This experience should include representing both lenders and debtors in sophisticated matters.

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile, in-court and out-of-court restructurings for institutional and private credit lenders, as well as large public and private companies across various industries. Candidates should have significant experience negotiating and drafting loan documents, exercising creditor remedies, and preparing key restructuring-related documents and pleadings, including plans of reorganization, restructuring support agreements, first-day motions, and other Chapter 11 filings.

Strong academic credentials are required, along with excellent organizational, analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills.

Candidates must be admitted to the bar in the state corresponding to their preferred office location (Illinois or New York).
