Position Description:
Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a junior associate to join its Employment & Labor practice in the Washington, DC metro area. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast‑paced and sophisticated practice advising innovative clients on a broad range of employment‑related matters.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience in employment counseling, with exposure to statutory and regulatory compliance, executive employment matters, and employment aspects of corporate transactions. This role offers strong client interaction and the opportunity to work within a collaborative and high‑performing legal team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on employment law compliance, including federal and state statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Support executive employment matters, including drafting and negotiating employment and separation agreements
  • Assist with employment‑related issues arising in mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions
  • Provide day‑to‑day employment counseling to clients
  • Support employment litigation matters, as needed

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in employment and labor law
  • Experience with employment counseling and compliance matters is strongly preferred
  • Exposure to executive compensation or employment‑related transactional work is a plus
  • Litigation experience is a plus
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • Expected base salary range: $225,000 – $260,000 (final compensation will depend on experience, location, and qualifications)
