Employment & Labor Associate (5–7 Years)
Our client, a highly respected law firm with a strong presence in California, is seeking an experienced Employment & Labor Associate to join its Los Angeles office.About the Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic employment practice representing high-profile national clients. The role offers sophisticated, complex work across both litigation and advisory matters, with significant client interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of employment litigation, including:
- Wage and hour class actions
- PAGA representative actions
- Litigation in federal and state courts, as well as arbitration
- Provide employment advisory support, including:
- Drafting and updating employee handbooks and workplace policies
- Preparing and reviewing onboarding and separation documentation
- Advising on leaves of absence, accommodations, and disciplinary matters
- Collaborate with clients to develop practical, risk-based solutions
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of employment law experience
- Strong background in employment litigation, including wage and hour matters and PAGA claims
- Experience providing day-to-day employment counseling
- Excellent academic credentials
- Superior analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Admission to the California Bar required
Compensation
- Salary range: approximately $325,000 – $365,000, depending on experience and qualifications
