Position Description:
Our client is seeking associates with 3+ years of bankruptcy and restructuring experience to join its growing Financial Restructuring group. This team represents creditors, investors, and distressed companies in a wide range of in-court and out-of-court restructuring matters on a global scale.
Representative work includes advising first and second lien lenders, bondholders, hedge funds, and other creditors; handling contested U.S. and multinational restructurings, insolvencies, and bankruptcies; and working on complex cross-border matters. The group is also involved in high-stakes Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 proceedings before both trial and appellate courts.
This is a highly regarded practice that is consistently recognized by leading industry publications and rankings.
Compensation: $260,000+ commensurate with class year and experience.
Qualifications:
- Substantive experience representing creditors, investors, distressed companies, and other stakeholders in large, complex U.S. and cross-border bankruptcy and insolvency matters, including out-of-court restructurings
- Strong academic credentials from a top law school
- Prior experience at a highly regarded Am Law firm
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
