Global Project Finance Associate Attorney – Energy & Infrastructure Tax (3-5 years)

Position Description:
Our client is seeking an associate to join its Project, Energy, and Infrastructure Finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in project finance, particularly in the renewable energy sector, and will assist with structuring and restructuring deals, funding projects, and navigating complex financial arrangements, including tax incentives. This role involves working closely with a dedicated tax group and collaborating on transactions that require innovative financial solutions.
Responsibilities
- Advise on project finance transactions, with a focus on renewable energy projects
- Assist in structuring and restructuring financing arrangements for large-scale projects
- Collaborate with internal tax specialists to optimize deal structures
- Draft and negotiate financing documents and related agreements
- Conduct due diligence and manage transaction timelines
- Work closely with clients and counterparties to ensure successful deal execution
Required Qualifications
- Experience at a top-tier Project Finance group at a major law firm is required
- 3–6 years of experience in project finance or related practice areas
- Strong understanding of financing structures and tax considerations in project finance deals
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with renewable energy projects and related financing structures
- Background in banking or financial services related to project finance
- Familiarity with restructuring transactions and tax incentive programs
