Healthcare Litigation & Regulatory Associate

Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking a mid-level Healthcare Litigation & Regulatory Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its Healthcare Practice Group in Los Angeles (preferred) or Seattle.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney interested in healthcare litigation, regulatory enforcement, medical staff matters, and healthcare compliance disputes. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced healthcare litigators and regulatory attorneys representing healthcare providers, health systems, and other industry participants in sophisticated disputes and enforcement matters.

Responsibilities

The associate will assist with a wide range of healthcare litigation and regulatory matters, including:

  • Healthcare litigation and commercial disputes
  • Medical staff and peer review proceedings
  • Professional licensing and board matters
  • Administrative enforcement actions and proceedings
  • Healthcare fraud and abuse investigations
  • Regulatory compliance disputes and related enforcement matters
  • Legal research and analysis involving healthcare regulations and litigation strategy
  • Drafting:
    • Motions
    • Briefs
    • Administrative submissions
    • Litigation memoranda
    • Regulatory analyses
  • Assisting with case management through all stages of dispute resolution
  • Collaborating with healthcare clients regarding risk management, compliance, and defense strategies

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm environment
  • Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
  • Experience managing litigation matters through various stages of dispute resolution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent organizational and case-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
  • Interest in healthcare law, regulatory enforcement, and complex disputes
  • Strong academic credentials and professional judgment
