Position Description:
Our client, a large defense-focused law firm, is seeking an Indiana‑licensed Senior Associate or Junior Partner Attorney with 5+ years of litigation experience to join their Hammond, Indiana office. Hybrid work arrangements are available.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with a background in defense litigation, particularly in insurance coverage (preferred). It is also a strong fit for candidates interested in gaining exposure to a variety of practice areas, including construction, bodily injury, professional malpractice, and mass torts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution
  • Attend court hearings across various counties and courthouses
  • Monitor case files to ensure all deadlines are met; investigate facts and legal issues to determine causes of action
  • Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, court decisions, and other legal authority
  • Assist with document review and related case preparation tasks

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Active license and good standing with the Indiana Bar (Illinois license preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience managing an autonomous caseload and handling all phases of litigation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; writing samples required
  • Excellent legal research and analytical abilities
  • Deposition experience (required)
  • Strong litigation skills and interest in expanding into new practice areas
