Our client, an international law firm, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its International Trade practice in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of relevant experience, along with a strong working knowledge of export controls (EAR and ITAR), economic sanctions (OFAC), and cross-border investment controls, including CFIUS and outbound investment considerations. Experience with FOCI mitigation and other trade-related regulations is also important, while exposure to customs and inbound trade compliance is a plus.
This role requires excellent writing skills and demonstrated project management abilities. The associate will work closely with experienced practitioners who are committed to providing hands-on mentorship and meaningful opportunities for increased responsibility and client engagement. Our client is seeking a proactive, self-motivated professional who can thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment. Strong academic credentials, superior communication skills, and a consistent commitment to delivering exceptional client service are essential.
Candidates must be admitted to the Washington, DC Bar.
