Position Description:
Investment Management Associate
Our client, a highly regarded law firm with a nationally recognized institutional investment management practice, is seeking an Investment Management Associate with 3-5 years of relevant transactional experience to join its Seattle office.This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney interested in representing institutional investors on sophisticated investment transactions. The successful candidate will work with public and private pension funds, endowments, family offices, sovereign entities, insurance companies, and other institutional investors on a broad range of traditional and alternative investment matters.
Responsibilities
- Advise institutional investors on a variety of investment transactions and fund-related matters
- Review, draft, and negotiate complex investment agreements and related transaction documents
- Assist clients with investments in:
- Private equity funds
- Venture capital funds
- Hedge funds
- Real estate funds
- Credit funds
- Other alternative investment vehicles
- Conduct legal and commercial due diligence on investment opportunities
- Analyze large and complex transaction documents with a high degree of accuracy
- Coordinate transactions across multiple stakeholders and timelines
- Collaborate with attorneys across corporate, tax, real estate, and other practice areas
- Manage multiple projects and transactions simultaneously while maintaining exceptional client service
Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active license to practice law
- 3-5 years of investment management, investment funds, fund formation, or comparable transactional experience
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and writing skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage significant individual responsibilities
- Experience handling multiple matters simultaneously
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $195,000 – $235,000 annually
- Compensation based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors
