Position Description:
Our client, a highly regarded California-based law firm, is seeking a Real Estate Associate with 2-4 years of experience to join its sophisticated real estate practice.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with experience in complex real estate joint ventures who is looking to work on high-profile transactions involving institutional investors, developers, sponsors, and other real estate market participants. The successful candidate will gain substantial responsibility and direct involvement in sophisticated deal structuring and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex real estate joint venture agreements
- Structure and document real estate limited liability company (LLC) and partnership arrangements
- Assist with sophisticated real estate transactions involving acquisitions, developments, financings, and joint ventures
- Perform legal analysis and due diligence related to joint venture and ownership structures
- Collaborate with clients, partners, and multidisciplinary deal teams on transaction strategy and execution
- Draft transaction documents and supporting agreements
- Manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
- 2-4 years of experience handling real estate joint venture matters
- Experience drafting and negotiating:
- Real estate joint venture agreements
- Limited liability company agreements
- Partnership agreements
- Strong legal drafting and analytical skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Outstanding academic credentials
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at a major law firm
- Exposure to sophisticated commercial real estate transactions and investment structures
- Demonstrated ability to manage significant individual responsibilities while working within team-oriented deal environments

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $225,000 – $285,000 annually
- Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and relevant skills
