Position Description:
Our client, a global law firm with an international presence, is seeking a Legal Support Specialist to join its Litigation team in Los Angeles. This role is a hybrid role (4 days in office & 1 WFH day of your choosing) and requires regular on-site presence to support daily operations, team collaboration, training, and relationship building.
Position Overview
This position provides high-level legal secretarial and administrative support to four or more attorneys within a busy litigation practice. The Legal Support Specialist assists attorneys throughout all stages of litigation—from case inception through post-trial—and plays an integral role in document production, court filings, discovery, and trial preparation.

Flexibility to work overtime as needed is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to litigation attorneys
- Manage complex scheduling: court appearances, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, client meetings, and conference calls
- Coordinate attorneys’ travel arrangements and process expense reimbursements
- Maintain calendars, deadlines, and case-related due dates
- Organize and manage incoming correspondence, documents, and case materials
- Draft, edit, format, and proofread legal documents including briefs, pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence
- Prepare motion binders, trial binders, deposition materials, and working files
- Coordinate and execute filings in Federal, Circuit, and State courts, including e‑filings
- Maintain electronic and hard‑copy filing systems; retrieve and archive records as needed
- Enter attorney time and assist with billing preparation
- Support discovery efforts, including document review, deposition preparation, written discovery, and expert discovery
- Assist with law and motion practice, trial preparation, and post‑trial activities
- Perform cite-checking and proofreading of legal documents
- Conduct research, data abstraction, and analytical tasks as needed
- Communicate with internal teams, outside counsel, court personnel, and opposing counsel
- Assist with general office and departmental projects as assigned
Qualifications

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate is a plus
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a legal secretary or legal support professional in a litigation practice
- Experience supporting business and commercial litigation matters preferred
- Familiarity with document management systems (i.e., iManage preferred)
Technology Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with e-filing systems and legal document management software
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly
Compensation & Benefits
The expected pay range for this position is $90,000 – $110,000, depending on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
