Legal Talent Development Manager (5+ yrs.)

Position Description:
Our client, a prominent Am Law firm with a national footprint, is seeking a Legal Talent Development Manager to join its growing Talent Development team. This newly created position offers a unique opportunity to help shape the future of attorney development while building upon an established foundation of training programs and professional development resources.
As the firm continues to invest in and expand its Talent Development function, this role will play a key part in centralizing and enhancing attorney training initiatives. Working closely with firm leadership and the Talent Development team, the successful candidate will help design and implement innovative programs that support attorney growth, engagement, and long-term career success.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with practice group leaders to assess attorney development needs and implement targeted training and career development programs.
- Design, manage, and enhance practice group curricula focused on substantive legal knowledge and professional skills development.
- Develop and execute experiential learning and technology-enabled training initiatives.
- Monitor emerging legal industry trends, including AI and legal technology, and incorporate innovative approaches into development programs.
- Support and enhance mentoring, sponsorship, and coaching initiatives.
- Provide career coaching and guidance to attorneys regarding professional development, performance, and advancement opportunities.
- Analyze program feedback and evaluation data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Talent Development colleagues and firm leadership on strategic attorney development initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members while contributing to the overall success of the Talent Development function.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Experience in attorney development, legal talent management, career advising, professional development, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree and/or J.D. preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of adult learning principles and evolving legal industry trends, including the impact of technology and AI.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Salary Range: $135,000 – $180,000 annually
Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors.
