Position Description:
Business & Commercial Litigation Associate (3–4 Years)
Our client, a highly regarded California-based law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3–4 years of experience to join its business and commercial litigation practice in San Diego.About the Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and entrepreneurial litigation team handling a wide range of complex commercial disputes. The role offers meaningful responsibility, hands-on experience, and strong mentorship within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal correspondence
- Respond to written discovery and manage document review processes
- Assist with and take depositions
- Prepare for hearings, oral arguments, and trial/arbitration
- Support overall case strategy and case management
- Work closely with partners and clients on litigation matters
Qualifications
- 3–4 years of experience in business and commercial litigation
- Experience with depositions, oral argument preparation, and trial/arbitration support
- Strong case management and organizational skills
- Excellent legal writing, oral advocacy, and communication abilities
- High level of academic achievement
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively
- Admission to the California Bar required
Compensation
- Salary range: approximately $250,000 – $285,000, depending on experience and qualifications
