Litigation Paralegal

Position Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cases from inception through trial, settlement, and appeal
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents
- Maintain case files and update discovery logs and indices
- Support and manage document productions and eDiscovery processes
- Assist with deposition and hearing preparation, including exhibit organization and witness materials
- Conduct cite-checking for legal briefs and filings
- Coordinate with litigation support teams on database management (e.g., iPro or similar platforms)
- Assist with document review using standard review tools
- Provide high-level administrative and case management support to attorneys
Qualifications
- Ability to qualify as a paralegal under California Business & Professions Code § 6450
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 5 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
- Strong understanding of California and federal court procedures and rules
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, etc.)
- Experience with eDiscovery tools and processes, including document management and production
- Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and/or Lexis (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to confidentiality
Expectations
- Meet an annual billable hour target (approximately 1,575 hours)
- Availability to work extended hours as needed
- Ability to travel occasionally for case support
- Maintain a reliable and professional work schedule
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay range: $50.23 – $61.50, depending on experience, qualifications, and skill set
