Mid-Level Litigation Associate (4-6 yrs.)

Position Description:
Permanent Placements is seeking a midlevel litigation associate with four to six years of experience in complex litigation, like class actions, commercial litigation, or having experience with multidistrict litigation, to join a growing Commercial/Antitrust litigation team for an AM100 client based in their Washington, DC office. Ideal candidates will have experience 4+ years of experience with antitrust matters (not required but needs to have in interest) or other comparably complex litigation.
Position Overview
In this role, the associate will play a key part on a team supporting a portfolio of antitrust litigation matters. The position offers exceptional exposure to all aspects of antitrust litigation, along with meaningful opportunities to deepen substantive expertise, enhance litigation skills, gain trial experience, and work directly with the client and the Partner.
Core Responsibilities
The successful candidate will bring substantial experience across all phases of complex litigation, including:
- Managing discovery and e-discovery
- Taking and defending depositions
- Preparing and working with expert witnesses
- Drafting and arguing motions
- Collaborating in multi-party litigation, ideally including class actions
Experience appearing before or interacting with government enforcement agencies (such as the Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, or state attorneys general) is a plus but not required. Prior experience in a law firm environment is strongly preferred.

- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team, manage & mentor more junior team members
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to and good standing with the District of Columbia Bar
