Sr. Class Actions Employment Litigation Associate – Los Angeles (or SF)

Position Description:
- Manage all phases of complex employment litigation in state and federal courts
- Defend employers in:
- Wage and hour class actions
- PAGA representative actions
- Discrimination claims
- Harassment claims
- Retaliation claims
- Trade secret disputes
- Other employment-related litigation

- Develop litigation, settlement, and risk-management strategies
- Draft and argue substantive motions, including:
- Motions to compel arbitration
- Class certification motions
- Dispositive motions
- Appellate briefs

- Take and defend depositions, including:
- Named plaintiffs
- Fact witnesses
- Corporate representatives
- Expert witnesses

- Manage written discovery, document review, and litigation workflows
- Handle court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
- Advise employers on California employment law compliance and risk mitigation
- Work closely with clients on business-focused employment solutions
- Mentor junior attorneys and assist with team development
- Support client development and business generation initiatives
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the California Bar
- 5+ years of employment litigation experience
- Significant experience handling:
- Wage and hour class actions
- PAGA litigation
- California employment law matters

- Strong knowledge of California class action procedures and employment regulations
- Experience independently handling depositions, court appearances, and substantive motion practice
- Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Strong client management and communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters simultaneously
- Prior law firm experience preferred
- Direct client contact and substantial responsibility

- Salary Range: $310,000 – $330,000 annually
- Compensation based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors
