Position Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced attorney to join its insurance coverage litigation group based in Los Angeles, CA. This practice focuses on representing national and international insurers in complex corporate insurance matters, including coverage investigations and disputes across a wide range of policies such as fidelity, directors and officers, employment, professional, property, excess, and general liability.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned attorney who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment and is looking to deepen their expertise in high-stakes insurance litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze insurance policies and draft coverage opinions and recommendations.
- Prepare pleadings, briefs, and client correspondence.
- Conduct legal research using platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Draft interrogatories and document requests.
- Review document collections in preparation for litigation.
- Participate in depositions, hearings, and mediations.
- Manage court filings and procedural requirements.
Qualifications:
- Active membership in the California Bar.
- Strong academic background.
- Extensive experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
