Longtime Gibson Dunn Partner Tapped for SEC Corporation Finance Role

James Moloney, a partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, has been appointed as the director of the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance. With 25 years at Gibson Dunn, he co-chaired the firm’s securities regulation and corporate governance practice group. In his new role, Moloney will help modernize regulations and reduce disclosure burdens, according to SEC Chairman Paul Atkins. Gibson Dunn has also recently hired former SEC enforcement senior officer Osman Nawaz.
